What you're looking for. Or what you imagine.
At BlackLayer3D we create unique pieces for collectibles, wargaming and custom projects. We make miniatures, scale vehicles and dioramas, from existing models or as custom commissions, with careful proportions, detail and visual consistency so each piece fits its intended use.
Our work focuses on the result: definition, cleanliness and finish. We use manufacturing with the level of detail each project demands, tailoring each process to the type of piece and its function, to deliver models ready to paint, play or present at a professional level.
What we do
We combine an online shop with on-demand manufacturing: in the shop you will find products ready to ship and others that we make when you order them, with the same resin printing and finishing quality. Below we summarise what our services consist of and what kind of projects we are prepared for.
Why BlackLayer3D
Because what you are looking for may already be in the shop, and what you imagine we can design or print with you: from a single miniature to a full diorama or a presentation model. We use resin 3D printing (SLA) to achieve a fine finish and a level of detail that shows in every piece.
We work with scale modellers, wargamers, architecture and engineering studios and designers who need prototypes or short runs; if you have a 3D file or a clear idea, we can guide you and give you a no-obligation quote through the contact form.
Detail and finish
All our miniatures, scale models and pieces are manufactured with a level of detail and careful finish that works for both hobby and professional projects, so that the result is suitable for painting, assembly or presentation.
Stock and on demand
You can buy models that are already ready in the shop or ask us for something specific that is not in the catalogue: we prepare it for you to the same quality standards and inform you of lead times and price before you confirm the order.
Dioramas and wargames
We offer vehicles, buildings and pieces designed for game boards and scale recreations, so that you can complete your dioramas or games with elements that match in style and size.

Frequently asked questions
We answer the most common questions about our products, orders and services.
-
In stock means we have units ready to ship: you can buy and receive them quickly. On demand means we make the piece when you order it: lead time may be a bit longer, but you can order specific models not in the catalogue, custom parts or short runs. Both options are available in the shop; each product page states whether it’s in stock or on demand.
-
Yes. If you have a 3D file (e.g. .stl or .obj), you can request a no-obligation quote via our contact form. Tell us what you need, attach the file or a link if it’s large, and we’ll reply with price and lead time. We work with architects, engineers and hobbyists: scale models, prototypes, replacement parts or your own designs.

We have a network of professional painters. Depending on the product and availability, we can offer the option for the piece to be painted before shipping. Not all items have this option; for your order we’ll tell you if it’s available and the extra cost. If you’re a painter and want to join the network to receive commissions, see the Join the network section.

We work with high-quality resins suitable for miniatures, dioramas, scale models and wargame pieces. They’re durable, allow fine detail and a smooth finish that takes paint well. If you have questions about a specific material or use (outdoor, contact, etc.), get in touch and we’ll advise.

Payment is made securely via our payment gateway (card, etc.). At checkout you can complete the payment online. We ship by courier; cost depends on destination and weight. For custom or on-demand orders we confirm lead times before you commit. If you have a deadline, mention it when ordering.

Yes. In the Join the network section you can apply as a designer (so we make and sell your designs in the shop) or as a painter (to receive painting commissions for pieces we send you). When we receive your request we explain the steps, requirements and terms. It’s a way to work with BlackLayer3D and get the most out of your work.

We work in various scales depending on the project: from small wargame pieces to vehicles and buildings for dioramas (e.g. 1/72, 1/48, 1/35). If you have a model or 3D file in a specific scale, say so when requesting a quote and we’ll confirm if we can do it. For architectural models or industrial prototypes we also adapt to the scale you need.
